How do I remove images (and other files) from Salesforce cases?
Salesforce has a functionality that allows you to remove a record from a case without deleting the actual file:

BUT: this is
a) limited to the file owner, which in 99% of cases is not the user who wants to remove the link,
or b) a user with "Modify All Data" permissions, which is usually a permission you would only give an admin.
So while in theory this functionality exists, it's not of practical use.
